Free Zone Company Formation in Dubai and the UAE
Choose a free zone for the way your business will operate. We assist with free zone company formation in Dubai and the UAE, comparing activity fit, workspace needs, shareholder structure and residency plans before preparing your registration.
How we can help
Choose a suitable jurisdiction
Compare the permitted activities, intended customers, legal forms and practical operating requirements. A low advertised licence price alone is not a complete basis for choosing a zone.
Check package inclusions
Review registration, licence, workspace, establishment file and visa allocation separately. A package with visa eligibility does not necessarily include visa processing charges.
Prepare and register
We coordinate the agreed application documents and follow up with the selected authority. First Link Dubai is an independent adviser; no free zone partnership is implied.
Documents to prepare
The initial checklist below is confirmed for your case before submission. Do not upload identity documents through the enquiry form.
- Passport copies for proposed shareholders and manager.
- Proposed names, activity description and shareholding details.
- Existing UAE residence or entry details, where applicable.
- Business plan, corporate shareholder documents or additional evidence requested by the chosen zone.
Processing stages
- Shortlist zones using activity, market and workspace requirements.
- Obtain an authority-specific document checklist and itemised package scope.
- Prepare and submit registration and licensing documents.
- Review issued company documents and arrange agreed post-licence support.
Preparation, appointments and authority processing are separate stages. Approval and completion dates remain subject to the relevant authority.
Costs and what your quote covers
Compare registration and licence charges, workspace, establishment card, visa allocation and processing, medical fitness, Emirates ID, insurance and professional fees. Ask for both first-year and renewal totals, including mandatory extras and cancellation conditions.
Each free zone has its own rules. Confirm permission for your intended operations and any additional approvals before trading outside the licensed scope. Tax treatment requires a separate assessment; incorporation does not establish tax exemption.
Planning a free zone setup with a visa
Allocation and application
Check whether the selected package permits the number of owner and staff visas you need. A visa allocation is capacity to apply; it does not itself issue a residence permit or guarantee approval.
Company and applicant stages
Plan company registration and relevant immigration-file prerequisites before the applicant’s residence stages. Existing UAE status, medical fitness and Emirates ID appointments affect the sequence. We confirm the authority-specific checklist and required attendance.
Compare the complete cost
Separate licence, workspace, file/establishment charges, residence processing, medical, ID, insurance and professional assistance. Review IFZA, Meydan, RAKEZ and Ajman cost assumptions and the zone comparison before requesting a quote.
Your questions answered
Which free zone is best for consulting?
Start with the exact consulting activity, client location, office needs and visa requirements. We compare suitable options rather than naming a universal best zone.
Does a zero-visa package include residency?
Do not assume it does. Ask whether visa allocation, establishment cards, application fees, medical tests and Emirates ID are included or separately payable.
Can I register remotely?
Remote steps and any personal attendance depend on the authority and applicant. We identify these before submission; medical or biometric steps may require attendance.
